From Dough to Delights: Flatbread Pizza and Pizza Panini from SCRATCH

Apart from cheese and toppings, homemade dough and sauce, are the key ingredients used to create mouthwatering pizza of course! BUT! What are the key ingredients used to make the homemade dough and sauce? HOW MUCH of each ingredient? HOW are they put together to create a variety of magical pizza options? Know as the Pizza Master “Pizzaiolo” in her family and community, our instructor Tess will help answer these questions as she guides you in her latest Pizza class where you will create fantastic FLATBREAD PIZZAS and Pizza Panini from scratch! If you are a part of a pizza loving family, this class is for you! Dive into the world of pizza making and join the ever-growing number of participants that have enjoyed Tess’ fun-filled cook-along pizza classes and experience for yourselves why participants keep coming back for more! Take out Pizza may just become a thing of the past! On the Menu: Wonderful Flatbread Pizzas, Pizza Panini, and OUT-OF-THIS WORLD Pizza Sauce! TWO of the instructors’ personal recipes for two different homemade doughs will be used. One will be for the flatbread pizzas, and the other for the Panini Rolls that will be turned into pizza panini! The instructor will provide Stepby-step guidance and instruction help to ensure the process is a simple as can be. Participants can personalize their flatbread Pizzas and Panini with toppings and fillings of their choosing. All recipes have been created by the instructor, and tested time and time again over the years, to ensure maximum flavor and ease. Choose which option you would like to make and watch a demonstration of the other or if you feel up to it, make them both! You will feel like a pro after this class and be confident enough to create all of this deliciousness time and time again. Make it a date night or family night as you create lasting memories in your kitchen! Have your questions answered by the instructor, interact with other participants as you cook-along, and increase your confidence in the kitchen. This class will take place on Zoom, free on-line software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and prep. A professionally made PDF packet of the Instructors Personal Recipes from this class will also be received. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun! Equipment Needs: Stand mixer HIGHLY recommended in order to make both homemade doughs. Sheet pans will be used to bake the Panini rolls and flatbread pizza. NO Panini press needed. Two heavy bottom pans can be used in place of a Panini press. More guidance will be included with the ingredient packet. Note: One registration fee for this on-line virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home ONLY.

Get a jump start on your ACT test preparation! In 2024 the ACT will be offered both digitally and written. If you are planning to study any STEM program in college then the ACT test is for you! This comprehensive review course introduces students to the ACT test and includes classroom instruction/practice, test-taking strategies, testing information & study materials. 2024 ACT Spring Test Dates: February 19, April 13 & June 8. Students are welcome to bring a snack to class. Important: 96.3% of U.S. colleges still require or will consider SAT/ACT test scores when submitted. It is important that students continue to take the SAT/ACT test and submit their scores when applying to colleges. Only 3.7% of U.S. colleges do not require SAT/ACT test scores.

Monday, July 8 - Thursday, July 11, 2024 - drop off begins 8:30 a.m., pick up by 12 p.m. sharp each day.  Field trips are scheduled for Wednesdays. Campers should come prepared for the weather; have sunscreen, water, a healthy snack, and all belongings labeled, all while having FUN and building friendships in a SAFE, FRIENDLY, and WELCOMING environment with our professional, experienced, CPR/AED/First Aid certified staff. 

All students are welcome regardless of their school district.  Campers will engage in supervised games, non-competitive sports, arts and crafts, nature and environmental education, yoga, dance, rock climbing, obstacle course, summer reading, team building, and life-skills development projects.  The theme of the week will be related to the field trip planned.  The fee for the field trip and transportation are included in the cost.
